Skull Lodge Outfitters

it is not just about the hunt,
we make it an experience...

It all began in the late 1960’s when a young couple found a beautiful setting along the banks of the Jackfish River, deep in the majesty of Saskatchewan's Porcupine Provincial Forest.
Having hunted and trapped all of his life in this area, Gene Petryshyn and his wife Faye saw an opportunity to set up a base camp that would grant instant access to the riches that the forest offers. Close proximity to game such as elk, moose, deer, and grouse provided a bountiful means to feed a young family. In addition to excellent hunting, the camp proved an ideal locale to successfully maintain a thriving trap line to generate income through the fur trade.
Slowly over the span of almost two decades, Gene and Faye took in hunters from across the USA and news travelled quickly about this little diamond in the rough. Skull Lodge has now grown into a well-known haven for the professional sportsman and to those new to hunting Saskatchewan Whitetail and Black Bear.
Now almost two decades in the making, Gene's son-in-law and daughter have taken the reins, continuing a strong legacy that will reach into the next generation of sportsmen.
